Designed and developed in conjunction with PA Sport, DIGINEWS™ is a revolutionary alternative to printed newspapers. It allows the display of form guides for racing, virtual events, live football matches and other sporting events by electronically replacing printed newspapers.
Our collaboration with PA Sport is invaluable; allowing DIGINEWS™ to give you real time, accurate updates on a variety of matches and games etc. PA Sport have the rights to information on most sporting events and also produce a managed schedule of content to coincide with racing and other popular sports opportunities throughout the day.
GENUS Cloud brings our display technology forward into the era of Internet-driven cloud solutions. The primary objective was to reduce costs by eliminating the need for local shop-based content storage. However, this is just one of many benefits delivered by this technology.
Firstly, in addition to reduced costs, no local storage means that these devices are instantly on – i.e. no wait time for content to synchronise – but it also means that a much wider range of signage player devices become suitable for the task. To extend the rage of hardware players even further, the Genus software was redeveloped from the ground up to make it platform agnostic, meaning it can run on Windows, Linux and Android devices too.
Another advantage to using cloud player devices is that they are practically purpose-built for live TV streaming applications. IPTV is a major focus for many such media player devices and as such includes inbuilt support for commonly used streaming protocols, such as H264 & H265.
IPTV streams can be played from existing Internet sources or otherwise published and delivered through our own content delivery network. 2DB can also transform local in-shop video/audio sources into IPTV using our own range of hardware encoder devices.

2DB supply a variety of touch screen customer terminal solutions, specifically tailored for betting shop and sports betting venues.
Such solutions include wall mounted touch screens, kiosk style floor standing units and – new to the portfolio – a desk standing 10" tablet unit designed to be robust and secure; including features such as a 'Next Off' menu button which instantly routes the customer to the next race due to start.
The 10" tablets can also be used as point of sale marketing screens, by placing them near the cashier tills. This marketing technique is being adopted across the retail sector, taking advantage of high footfall areas to deliver events and promotions.
